Sorry, I failed to answer the fuel question. My tractor is meticulously maintained and I run 57mph. I Get an average of 7.3mpg.

I hear TA is paying surcharge on oaded and empty miles now, how,s that working out for you guys. They have to have lowered the basic surcharge to be able to do that. Any info would be appreciated.

If you know what your doing and if, you have a mind for business, you can make money here. Know I bad mouth this company alot, most of which is deserved but......

Talked to a guy I'd met before here, and he has one trk paid off, put a drvr in it, and is now leasing a 700. Didn't think to ask him if he's had any problems with it or not but he really does like the room in it since he is also a coach.

I've heard that they're paying a surcharge for both mty and loaded but that the way they do their settlements, its hard to figure out just what your getting. I'm company so don't have to worry bout that. The guy that I got that info from, was a brand new L/O in a 700, and was not happy that they had deducted, I think, $60 from his 1st paycheck for both def and the small amount of fuel that came with the trk.

Hey, these outfits that fleece, er lease, have got it down to fine art and the leasing for them is just another business. I sometimes wonder if they make more that way than actually doing loads.
