Wonder why all those drivers wouldn't give this man more time ,effort and money for his prosperitys sake ,this the kind of appreciation he gets for providing a job for them to do....what's this world coming to?
TruckDuo Thanks this. -
Well, I am very appreciative of the heads up. Did a lot of research and whatever your inclinations are, increased driver productivity is only good to a point; after that the driver is like a milk cow that has to undergo amputations to provide beef also. Nothing against guys like Arves and Wallace, everybody has a right to make money but I don't have to work there either. Just like you said, a persons word IS all they have, and no amount of money is going to make it worth more if you break it when it suits you. Thanks again!

My co-driver and I are also considering going team (company drivers) at TLI. I recently ran into a couple I know from another company who started at TLI in 12-2014. They said that they're in a '14 Volvo 780, runs at 70 mph. They also said their loads are almost exclusively Expedited long-haul. mostly Forward Air, Fed-Ex, Con-Way, UPS. and that they have had very little problem with getting preplanned.. They're runnin 6-7k a week.. I know this is a highly effective, safe, hard running team, and I have no reason to doubt what they tell me. But are they being "Honeymooned?" It seems there are many more "bad company" threads than "Favorite Co." threads here.

most companies treat there teams like gold. I also knew the same team and another there. The team with the volvo does part time if it is who i think it is, although i could be wrong. The other team i knew quit and went to there sister company j.m. bozelman. which is where i went, they also treat there teams like gold. I split up with my partner there after he stole money from me, "slid" the tandems and threw me into the wall giving me a baseball size knot on my head. I asked him to kindly not do that again and he screamed something psycho at me . So he left the truck and they re hired him lol. then they stuck me in southern texas never attempting to get me back home for 6 weeks. so i drove home. found another job. that is another thread /sighs

I am a current TLI Lease Purchase driver for the last 22 months. i can tell you the trucks are not well maintained, they are filthy and so on. then again most trucks you get into at any company have there cleaning issues. you are getting into a used truck you must remember that it is like a used car, some are better than others. i have ran otr and dedicated as a solo driver and made good money. i do not kiss ### or suck up to get my miles or freight to haul, never have never will. my 2012 peterbilt has had its issues with 2 blowup motors. i got the engines covered by cummins as the first engine was just out of warranty and the second engine threw a rod thru the block due to a part failure. the current engine is outstanding. now to the office staff, they could care less about us drivers as long as you get your freight delivered on time, keep good logs, and no tickets they leave you alone, do you want a baby sitter or someone to trust you to get the good done without riding your ### or micro managing you.
is tli the right company for you, i can not tell you that, what i can say is this, i have had no problems here, am i looking to go elsewhere, never look a better oppertunity away, i keep all options open -
I worked for TLI from September 2003 to September 2005. Chuck P was safety director then. Back then all of the trucks were Pete 387's governed at 77mph. I ran fed ex from memphis to Fresno. Also memphis to Pa. Solo. Ran hard made tons of money. Got driver of the month in 04. But after a certain person took over, the company went down hill very quickly. Now it's just a shell of its former self.
