I have a 2007 western Star with a13 speed Eaton fuller transmission oil looks like sludge gold gross ... am taking it water or coolant got into it ... but what’s confusing me is how do I know if mine is cooled by coolent I have what looks like a mini radiator mounted on the front radiator that 2 lines go right to the transmission which I thought was oil or air cooled not cooled by anti freeze I just want to flash it right away but I want to fix what needs to be fixed at the same time any help would be great thanks guys

look if you have any coolers usually mounted on top of transmission or sometimes they go directly to the radiator, follow the oil lines coming from the trans to where they go, i know there is some western stars that are build for severy duty and might have one more than one oil cooler kind of stupid but ihave seen it a couple of times the best way to go is follow all the lines that come out of your trans and see where they go.

There are two lines at the bottom of the radiator to cool transmission oil. The one in front is precooler.
