transmission rebuilt

    i need to rebuilt the transmission 13sp eaton fuler.it was overheated.which is better new one or to rebuilt it.

    some would say factory rebuilt.

    The casing and most major components are reused and thoroughly inspected and measured. The critical components are replaced.

    And for that, some will saw a "new" will be better.

    I'd go with which ever you can find more inexpensive from a reliable source.

    When you it was overheated, did you mean one time, or is it running hot all the time, and how hot? And I agree with MN driver, price around, there are many options, If you can stand being down for a number of days, you could get it rebuilt, but personally, I would be looking for a reliable rebuilt unit, who will give you core value on yours, that way you are up and running in a day or two again.

    it was overheated one time,but they say the parts change the color from the heat.does somedoby knows what is the normal operating temperature for eaton fuller 13speed.
