    Hey all,

I'm curious what the typical shift patterns are, or what kind of transmissions the typical OTR companies use.

Schneider - 10 Speeds (Brand would be great addition is it Eaton?)
Swift - 9, 10, and 13 Speeds (Brands would be great additions)
    Wal-Mart - ?
Werner - 9, 10, and 13 Speeds (Brands would be great additions)
    Watkins-Shepard - 10 Speeds(Van) 13 Speeds(Flatbed) (Brand would be great addition is it Eaton?)
CRST - 10 Speeds (Brand would be great addition is it Eaton?)
TMC - 13 Speeds (Brand would be great addition is it Eaton?)
    Maverick - ?
    Roehl - ?
    Prime - ?
Shaffer - 10 Speeds (Brand would be great addition is it Eaton?)
Crete - 10 Speeds (Brand would be great addition is it Eaton?)

Please list any other I havent mentioned.. Please list the transmission type - 18 speed, 8 speed, 9 speed, etc.. I plan to organize all the patterns into a pdf, and say which company uses what with the diagram.

I'll post it back here, and use it myself, and hope others can use it aswell.

If this has already been done for the companies with the diagram please share!

    Thanks,
    Justin

    Schneider - 10 speed
    Swift - 9, 10, and a handful of 13 speeds
    Wal-Mart - ?
Werner - they trucks they advertise for sale were mostly 9 speeds which could be converted to 13s, and some 10 speeds
    Watkins-Shepard - ?
CRST - VanEx and Lease-Purchase trucks are 10 speeds. Malone is all lease operator/owner-operator and small fleets leased on, and the transmissions vary far and wide
    TMC - ?
    Maverick - ?
    Roehl - ?
    Prime - ?
Shaffer - 10 speed, along with Crete. I'd imagine Hunt uses the same, but I can't say with absolute certainty

I don't think Maverick is 100% automatic yet, though. I'm pretty sure they at least used to use 10 speeds in their trucks. Maybe one of the Maverick drivers will see this and reply.
I think Roehl, Wal Mart, and Prime use 10 speeds, as well, but again, not 100% certain.

Watkins uses 10 speeds on the van side, 13 speeds on the flatbed side. Apparently they are getting in some KW's with 9 speeds.

Many WS flatbed trucks are just the regular volvos and freightliners with a headache rack thrown on. That is to say.. just 10 speeds. (This is not to say there's not a bunch of 13speeds around too.)

yeah I found that when doing a Google search.. I kind of got confused on what to use though.. I may someone says they use 10 speeds.. is it 10 speed (RT & RTX), or (RTO), or (RTLO)? Any idea what the RTX, RT, RTO, RTLO means, and what truck uses them, or how to tell?
