I do because there have been instances where I called the higher paying broker and tell them just what happened.
Most recently a broker told me shipper sends out load sheet to multiple brokers with a rate next to lane what they're willing to pay.

Blast e-mails of loads sometimes do have a rate that they're willing to pay, but that doesn't mean some broker will do it for less(just like a truck) so they get the load. So that means nothing.
Loads given out after a RFQ will have many carriers and brokers with different rates

You do know that those email blast shipper are cheap shippers only interested in the cheapest truck?

And something many different broker will post the same load but with different rates just depending on how greedy they are.
    As simple as that.

It's fun when you catch brokers notice it and a couple will go to war reposting higher than the other over and over again until its covered.

Still doesn't mean one was making more money. You really don't understand how that works.
Customer is prepared to pay 2000
    One broker says 2000
    One broker says 1500
    One broker says 1000
Which one does the customer give it to?
If the 1000 broker nor the 1500 broker can cover it the 2000 broker will get it.
It all boils down to what is said over and over,

GreenPete359, Siinman and Ruthless Thank this.

The issue or the subject for this discussion existed just the same. It is normal that the urgency to discuss it resurfaces in times of "rates are in the toilet" threads.
    This is purely psychological.
Nobody wants to touch controversial subjects when they can post about thier $40k gross on 10 000 miles accomplishments.
I personally don't think that the transparency will ever become real but it does not hurt to see merits behind it.
I still would like to see true, logically explained reasons why it would be such a bad thing for both brokers and carriers.
Your argument that it would involve more governmental control is valid but it has to do with the general resentment to the role of government instead of disproving that transparency is bad on moral and economical grounds.
Let's take the government control out of equation now, instead of money.
Of course, it would be a great informational asset for carriers to have in their ability to negotiate and maximizing profits. Even if their already existing negotiating skills are excellent.

No, it's giving the same ability without the same effort. No one fails. Everyone wins.
