Does anybody have any information or experience on Transport National out of Oak Creek / Milwaukee Wisconsin? They are a smaller company with about 60 Power Units according to the companies SAFER report from DOT and that information is consistant with their website. They handle mostly over dementional freight and are starting a new regional fleet (work 5 home 2) and most drivers are home on the weekends. I had an opportunity to speak with some of their drivers and all seemed satisfied or aft least, not disgruntled. The only problem I am having getting hired with them is getting past employers to send the nessessary information. The recruiter I have been working with has been the MOST helpful and professional recruiter I have ever spoken with. Any insight drivers?

I will be here 4 years in April. I work out of the Mosinee(actually Rothschild) terminal. We have small, but well maintained equipment. I assume Peggy is your recruiter because she is the only one we have. We are almost, if not all, on electronic logs now. There are alot worse companies you could work for.

Jumbo, thanks for your reply. I had the opportunity to spend some time with Jim up there and enjoyed what he had to show me.

They run a lot of big oversized tanks out of my home town. That issue with the previous employer - is that all of your previous employers or just the one you currently work for? When I changed jobs several months ago my current employer waited until I was actually quit, had to work out my 2 week notice and everything, before they would even verify I had worked for them the past 11 years. Was aggravating but a current employer can do that. I guess they could have shown me the door when I turned in my notice..

I too am looking at Transport. I'm in a toss up between Boyd Bros and them. However I want to eventually run oversize loads and what not so im leaning more toward Transport
