    First of all, I think this should have been posted in the " Inside Scoop forum". Secondly, from the two drivers I spoke with they are a very good company to be with. Good pay and benefits. Mind you this was before the Kenan takeover.

    To sum it up short, in todays economy climate...
    Any company, is only as good too how much your willing to take..
    If any driver has a job now and its half way descent its best to stay.
    Alot of drivers our still job hopping only to find themselfs not being able to get another job or working at a 6 month entry level pay, regarding experience. In a couple of yrs these same companies that our low balling pay scales, complaining about idle, not getting you home, not mainting trucks, will be remembered.:biggrin_255:

    Thanks guys, sorry I posted in the wrong place. My husband drove for Continental Carbonic for 18 years and made a good living. He then had to manage his diabetes with insulin and didn't drive for 18 months. Worked in a factory for 9.00 an hour. You bet if the company is half way decent he will stay a long time and be a good employee. That's just the kind of person he is. He is very thankful to be able to climb back in a truck, Mcleod is in our town and he had tried to go to work for them and because he hadn't driven for 90 days they wouldn't hire him. He has a perfect MVR and takes care of his trucks and never is off work, so this really brought him down. So we are hoping for the best and I am glad to hear it is a good company to work for.

    I think a person could either answer another persons ? or not answer it, not start out with "first of all blah blah blah" just my 2 cents maybe some people arent as trucker forum savvy as others are!

    I did feel kind of foolish for posting in the wrong place, I just figured thats what the "Report a Bad or Good Trucking Company" was for. Guess thats why I work for Psychiatrists and don't drive a truck....

    Thanks bhaulers wife,
    My husband seems to like his job and I am so happy for him. He really belongs in a truck and missed it so much. Hated factory work. Life is good, here in Decatur, IL.
