After a few talks its a no go on that truck.Just not worth the headache they are trying to make it be. Can get a starter rebuilt around here for cheap even.

Is this the right place to gloat about my fuel mileage???????????
I mentioned some where ealier this week I was running at 65 now because of the price of fuel. Well that didn't seem to work all that well. A disappointing 5.4 up from a previously disappointing 5 or lower depending on how much idling for heat was done.
My last tank I ran at 70 and didn't have that much idling or dead head miles on it....................5.6. Now thats not too bad for a large car CAT 500 pulling an open car hauler!!!
-
Just want to hear it run and they seem to not want me to. Maybe it was just a bad day for them. I'll find something else.
Thats not bad milage for your setup there Brickman. Especially at 70 and an open rack. -
yup, sounds like they are hiding something

I'm still thinking about that W-9 and that 352 from over there.
-
the 352 is nice. it is old though and I know nothing of thee DI Cat.actually the w-9 is too but the 352 has a coolness factor to it. then again I don't have to drive it!! lol
-
I always thought the DI was an industrial motor... like dozers and packers. I can't find anything on putting one in a truck. The W-9 is $4k more... but I bet it rides better.
