I'm not sure if you are leased on with anybody or not but heres my story. Im leased on with Landstar. Once I had the truck approved and insured I had to drive it back home and have the title changed over to my name BEFORE I could get the temp tag or IFTA or 2290. So here's how you get the truck home........You tape the bill of sale to your passenger side window and drive home. At least thats how you do it going from KY to OH. If you have any questions just call the BMV/DMV's in the states you are traveling through. Although my experience when dealing with those offices are like dealing with simpletons. So screw it im sure the "Stateys" would know. Just call them. Good Luck.

One thing, if you call states and ask them, expect to pay something. They will say anything to collect extra $$ even if it's not necessary. Your bobtail ins and proof of ownership is what will make you legal.

Well I ended up buying a peterbilt in upstate NY. It's about a 3hr drive to my house. I'm thinking a midnight stroll would be key:biggrin_25522:
