Any of u guys have any tips on loading and unloading a 70 pound dog with me into my tractor ? Working with a Pet Friendly company that will allow dog , but is there ramps or anything I can use to get dog in and out other than picking her up ?

    Teach her to jump?

J/k, I've got an 85lb dog that won't jump, she stays at home.

I know a couple of guys that made ramps. A couple 2xr4's a bit of plywood and some non slip sticky strips.

We use a Kong harness with a padded handle to give our pooch the extra oomph to get in the cab. Hubby is an expert at it. Me... we'll just say the dog and I exchange worried looks before awkwardly stuffing/ scrambling him up in the cab. Lol. He's 70 lbs, got over a million miles in and loves to pee his way across America.

Check one of the big pet stores. I met a driver she had a ramp for her dog.
Her dog was bigger than her

Never had a dog co-pilot.... But if I did it'd be a stout bulldog... Something I could launch, like a shot-put, into the truck. Lol.

iv got a dog that rides with me in the truck he is about 65lbs, he has been riding sense he was a pup to start with he was two small to jump in then he got big enough to jump in. and he started doing it, then one day he went to jump in and missed the step now he wont jump in on his own any more...lol

we have it figured out though. he waits at the door for me and i walk up behind him and he kinda jumps up and i bear hug him from behind around his chest and basically set his back legs on the top step and he walks in the truck from there. its kinda hard to explain but its all kinda one motion. he jumps and i hold him and guide him onto the top step its actually not like lifting all 65 lbs.

as far as getting out of the truck he just jumps out on his own.

it will probably take a little for both you and your dog to get it figured out but 70lbs is only 5lbs heavier than mine and its really not bad at all getting him in the truck.

Saw a guy at the T/A in Coachella a couple weeks ago with an older pug that was a little overweight. He used a folding ramp on the passenger side for the dog to get in & out. Stored it on the catwalk. lol

    I got "Champ;"
    he's a 154 lb. Malamute.
Figured out that if I put my pickup bed next to truck door, he can make two jumps right in, like big steps.
That works at home; but I got a trick for on the "pee break" trail. Works like a charm.
    Someplace over top of, and supported by, your top step - make a 3/4 plywood deck that sticks out;
maybe 2' wide, 3' long, and put that non-skid traction sheet on it. I put alum. shelf edging around it, too.
Then drill and put two hooks thru, nutted/washers on both sides, that will go thru the step corrugations,
and hook on back edge of your existing metal step. sets the weight right on top, and overhangs on the hooks.
This would be a quick to install, (and remove,) "Pooch Porch" for the guy to jump to - then jump into truck.

Couple of 4" straps and winches and you are good to go. If a cow can be "transported" like this the working load limit of two straps and winches rated 5500 lbs each should be good, assuming the tie down points are rated near that level.
