Trapped at Dollar General, missed appointment time.

I’ve been to that DC, I remember it well. I got there about 30 minutes early and sat in line for almost an hour to check in, then got dinged for being late. They still unloaded me, but talk about a miserable bunch of people working there.

 

i had dumped, literally dumped empty pallets and plastic wrap on the UPS lot in Chelmsford, MA years ago. they unload thier freight, and expected me to take way thier trash..not on my watch....and i was a company driver.

i drove around to the back lot, and heaved ho all that trash, then took off.

so ask me, what would i do with a trailer load of freight, and parked on the D/G's lot...???

 

As if you would ever go back there anyway.

 

I read that in the original post. I'm sorry my nearest experience to your post was not exactly the same as yours.

 

Flatbeds (Skateboards), Covered Wagons, Drop Decks, Extend Decks, Over Size, Reefers, Tankers, Auto Hauling (Parking Lots), other.
There are Rewards and Punishments in all aspects of Transportation. Pick Your Pleasure or Poison.

 

There’s several cross docks in B-ham. Call them and see who will take it the cheapest. Give XPO 1 hour Monday morning to get a door or they can pay someone to figure out where their load is.

 

Best option that you had. Glad you got it moved off without waiting 2 weeks. Now learn to double, triple check those pick and deliver times. I have nightmares thinking I will mess up a pick and drop time. So I look at those things 20 times a day. Ha Ha

 

Man I feel sorry for you, that Dollar General distribution center location is an absolute #### hole. I’ve been there about three or four times and I get the urge to make the news every time I go. Lol just to check in people alone literally make you wanna rip your own hair out. If you have any left.
