Precisely. The problems TA has can’t simply be covered over with a coat of paint. They are problems caused by years of consistent poor management and are the consequences of accumulated inattentiveness and poor judgement.

PFJ and Loves base their decisions on solid, long term financial strategies - They’re playing the long game. TA can’t do that because they are controlled by short term deadlines and are focused on putting out short term fires.

T/A is the last place drivers want to stop because their corporate culture is garbage and they treat their customers with contempt. Someone tell Jon Pertchik a coat of paint and a few new leather chairs won’t fix this.

They are now apparently charging $40 a night for parking. Nothing says you care about your “customers” like completely effing them. Many companies don’t reimburse for parking.

Aren’t you glad that, in the $ Trillion + infrastructure bill congress just passed in 2021, not a single dollar went to public truck parking?!? Our system is hopelessly corrupt.
