    ## TA/PETROS charging us all that reserved parking...hope loves takesOver it all! WoW Berkshire or buffet isn't a good Costco $1 hot dog downing guy, he supposedly played a major part in the ##!N over mobile home mortgage owners/holders with a nasty balloon interest that wasn't explained to the mobile home owners upon taking out the mortgage - he'll think of a new way to tax us drivers - Go LoVes + Bojangles! We need some massive Walcott/raphine sized parking across the major lanes that also supply a mix of different food options (mom n pop stands or a variety of food trucks 24/7 catering to our needs - parking, bucees sized toilets (like 100!), big hot water showers, large parking lanes no tight nonsense & tow the creative jerks that block us in & park in or before / after the pull up of fuel Islands (yea you blue trailer pulling towelheads & many leased trailers/tractor combos out there are the usual suspects!)... Take care of the essential workers, without us the shelves are empty, little suzy & little johnnies medicines can't be refilled & big bad handlebar mustache tattooed Tommy the foreman can't build our buildings! what happened to the infrastructure bill? How come truck parking wasn't apart of the budget!

PSM379, bthomann and JoeyJunk Thank this.

great coffee+donuts up there in the MN/WI areas - my former companies stomping grounds & for some reason they don't run me those lanes there with the current one (Wish Buc'ees build a separate overflow like gravel parking space & just said present a receipt of $10 min. on the windshield or get towed, they do have some good BBQ & other goodies but they have posted NO SEMI pickets all over their grounds - although massive oversized RVs are always up in there hogging up multiple parking lanes!

    bthomann Thanks this.

I stay away from Petro/TA unless I’m really stuck. But the old Whites location is pretty nice. Nice to have a place that large along 81. Haven’t been to the old Berky's location in over a decade.
Long term? Wezel see how things go.

The Lexington, Va. location is a TA and it is a lot older and way smaller than the Petro. I believe it dates back to a 76 truckstop at one time and it has an Rv park out back on the hill.

For those that knew him, Bobby Berkstresser passed away this morning after a long battle with COVID. The founder of Lee Hi and White's Truck Stop (mentioned earlier in this thread). At least he won't be around to see how bad TA/Petro destroys his legacy and vision.

So that’s what happened. Sorry to hear about that.
Thank you @brian991219. That clears up the mystery behind the sudden(short) sale of White’s.
    R.I.P. Mr. Berkstresser
@navypoppop -you might want to read the above post-I’m afraid it’s not good news.

I just saw the sad post on Bobby Berkstresser. I am so sorry to hear that. He was a real gentleman and will be greatly missed in the trucking world. My thoughts, prayers and thanks go out to his family. I hope TA honors him and doesn't destroy what he worked so hard to build.

For a company the size of TA/Petro, this is unacceptable. We know truckers can be pigs but, no trash cans in sight just invites the next guy to add more to this..:biggrin_25512:. New Paris, OH petro...

Spoiler alert. There was a trash can there 10 ft away, but somebody kept backing over it until TA finally got tired of replacing it.
