What kind of traveling jobs are out there that require a CDL but you don’t have to drive OTR everyday and you sleep in a hotel every night. Just trying to get out of the truck for a change.
    IE: Sperry Rail Services

I found one traveling job that requires a CDL repairing railroad tracks. But that job only starts out at $18/hr. Which I think is too low for what you’re doing.

If anyone wants to clean up train wrecks for a living this place is it. Starts out at 24/hr but tons of OT. Require a class A CDL. Have positions from Atlanta all the way to Arizona. Home | R. J. Corman Railroad Group

$18 is the starting pay for entry level.
Might do that just to get a foot in the door.
There's lots of overtime in that job.
