I remember my ride back in early 90s. Nc to Ut. I bought a box of Trojans and was able to use a few on the back bench seat. I spent more on crack heads then food but it was a trio I'll never forget. I hear gh is faster less stopping more going. Stock up on five hour energy you'll need it

Well I wonder how jet460 is doing on the bus, lol.Probably trying to find every way possible to kill the boredom and get comfortable.I've taken many buses and i've learned not to drive for a company too far away.

If I get this going with Prime, it would be a 13hour, 45 minute ride on the Dog...I just checked Amtrak (which I'm very familiar with) and alas, they don't run to Springfield MO, so the Dog it is...It can hardly be worse than the Chicago EL trains (especially the red line, south of Jackson...)

I'd much rather rent a car, but that's not in the cards, with my lack of funds...

Just bring plastic pants, 5 minute stops and the toilet in the bus......... well imagine an outhouse rocking down to road at 65mph. Ya it aint pretty.

A bottle of rye might help to.

He's 24+ hours into the "dog" ride now and I hope it has went well for him. It should be over soon.

Let us know how the old "dog" went ASAP. We're dying to know!

Here's a hilarious "bus riding" video that I found. I'd have a heart attack if I had to travel with these folks:

The Springfield, MO Greyhound terminal is VERY nice. Only about 5 or 7 years old and looks "state of the art" as far as bus terminals go. You definitely won't have any issues there. Plus... it sits about halfway between the Millenium building and the motel. Only about a mile either way. I'm sure Prime pulled some strings to get Greyhound to build that one.

Regarding our terminal here in Joplin, I've never been in it and hopefully never will :biggrin_2551:

Amtrak runs nowhere near Springfield. I think their closest terminal is in KC.
