I rode a bus from Cedar Rapids Iowa to Manchester New Hampshire. All I have to say is when you look at a map and think gee that has got to be the route we will take the bus will take the route will leave the worst drivers scratching there head. Ipod classic died 8 times on that trip that took 3.78 days.
Traveling to orientation via Greyhound.

LOL on this thread! I am NOT a real "people person" anyway, but I did take the bus from Nashville to Springfield once, and then had to ride it back (failed the "blindside backing in the rain" part of the test; got screwed up in my setup, so pulled out and drove around the parking lot to come at it from another angle-hey, it's what I would do in real life, lol, but the instructor/examiner about #### his pants! Fail!!).
Anyway, first trip wasn't all that bad, except for the drug dealers in the St Louis terminal, but the return trip had some REAL crazies on board, and the driver acted scared and did nothing to calm then down, or kick them off the bus.
Anyway, I would rather live in a ditch than have to ride the big dog to get to ANY job! Well, maybe not, but close, lol.
It is an experience, for sure. -
What company u working for and amtrack is usually a little more but u don't get the creeps that ride on the bus. I did ride greyhound once with these two very fine chicas that were deff illegals but so lovely and smelled great. Plus I know many that just rent a car and drop it off in the city of orientation.
