    My question is...

If you travel the same highway more than once a day, do you write it down more than once?

For the same trip? If they just want the highways used, and not a detailed report of your route, you only need to put it down once for each state.

    BROKENSPROKET Thanks this.

Yes, you only have to write them down once between each pair of state lines. Don't forget your odometer readings when crossing state lines either.

Thanks guys. I was told, only once a day per state, no matter how many times you travel it. Just wanted to make sure.

Do you right down a highway you are on for 1/4 of a mile.

For example, coming off the freeway to a truckstop, then right back onto the freeway. Do you write down the highway that the truck stop is on?

I've been with the same carrier for some time and have never been questioned about how I got to the fuel pumps off the big road. My guess is the carrier is more interested in how many miles than every turn you make.

My carrier doesn't care, they don't even look at the highways. All they do is take my miles per state and gallons purchased and do some sort of math calculation for the IFTA Report. My concern is just what the IFTA requirement is, in case I am ever audited.

You personally will not get audited if your just the driver and not the owner......
