Scaled the three trailer axles this morning..

    4 - leading axle
    8 - center axle
    4 - trailing axle

is this normal? What's going on? I expected them to be somewhat even across the board. Load was slightly forward if anything and I would have though that the leading axle would be a little higher than the center and the center a little higher than the rear if anything..

How do these suspension systems work when loading the axles.. is this normal? Could it have been something to do with the speed hump the axles roll over just before they hit the pad?

Huh? I'll try and decode what you typed.......you weighed each axle on a closed tri-axle trailer........the center axle had more weight........I can only assume its spring ride. They won't always carry the same weight even thought they're hooked together.

not sure what you mean by a closed tri-axle trailer, but it is a triple axle trailer..
They are leaf springs that are all linked together, yes. I would have thought that they'd self distribute the weight a little more evenly than 4-8-4.. That seems a bit extreme to me. They are 12k axles.. Do you think they'll even out a bit more as I load them more? I got another 10k to put on there yet.

Closed tri-axle vs 3 axles spread apart a few feet or more (air ride). I bet they will be different every time you weigh it. Spring ride doesn't always equalize evenly. The more weight you put on it the more they should even out.
