Trouble finding hazmat/tanker opportunities in Phoenix.

Most tanker companies don't hire newbies but they might only require 1 year of CDL experience. VERY few will hire a driver with less than 1 year for HazMat tanker, but every year I see something else I never ever expected to see.

No tanker experience. It's been around 3 weeks since I received both my hazmat & twic card. I'm just shy of 2 yrs experience. Most of my driving so far has been local food with 48" reefers.

The hazmat market is really tight. Only reason I got into Gemini (Loves) 3 months ago is i had 1.5 years of fuel hauling experience, clean record, and I was carded at all the facilities they pull out of already.

No one wants to hear this answer but the more willing you are to move across states the easier you will find a job atm.
