Spent about three plus months with Paul Trans, doing daily dedicated in a day cab, not OTR. I cannot speak for the OTR drivers and their situation with Paul Transportation, I can only speak for mine.

    1) Getting reimbursed for truck related purchases (oil, etc) or motel stays when running an 800 mile load in a day cab, etc, takes a lot of dedication and record keeping as two of four times they will miss it and you will be calling your DM two or three times until it's finally paid. Keep reciepts and records as to when the receipt(s) were transflowed!
    2) After giving notice to my previous employer, it was at Pauls orientation that it was revealed the job was temporary in nature, the contract expiring in the spring! Not a word in the Craigs List ad, not a word of it mentioned with the one and only recruiter prior to orientation. ...She was not one to want to spend ANY time on the phone, very difficult to converse with. Was told tho by the Operations Director, after inquiring, that I could go OTR after the contract expired. Long story short: Did not divulge very important job information prior to hire.
    3) Not Pauls fault, but the major shipper with whom the contract resulted in the four of us running their dedicated loads, only had loads for us three or four days per week.
    4) They tried to keep my last two trips pay. When I emailed, my former DM did look into it and , hmmm, guess I had to re-translfo those days... I did eventually get pd those two trips tho. Just makes me wonder how many drivers out there do NOT keep records and do not keep track of every little aspect of thier pay and thusly are missing dollars!

I averaged three of the weeks that I ran 4 days. With the strapping, unstrapping, waiting for problems with shipper or reciever to be ironed out, etc, I worked an avg of 43.5 hours per week. Driving was four hours down, four hours back. (8 hrs). Due to being paid mileage, was getting pd for 8 hrs each day, so was pd 32 of the 43.5 hrs worked those weeks.

I know, I didn't drive OTR and worked daily so nobody gives a rats patootie and nobody likes a whiner, but I thought you should know the less than stellar performance I was privy to.

Between what I discovered here, and with my experience driving for Crete, if I had to go back OTR I'd call Crete in a heart beat!
