I had my last alignment done by a gentleman who uses the MD Alignment system... best alignment I've ever had. On I15 north of Victorville, it ran straight with no steering corrections for well over 4 miles. Centramatics all the way around, Michelin X-One XDA Energy drives, XZA3+ steers.

Yea KR speaks highly of MD Alignment, might head to truck city service for MD Alignment, any one else know someone on the east coast that has the MD ALignment system?

I say 4 miles is good enough with no corrections made to the wheel, that would sell me! I hear alot of good reviews on MD Align sys. but you ever watch their vid's on youtube the system is pretty basic, not much too it. But is supposed to be one of the better alignment systems out there. Won't know until I get one how well it is!

It happened to be a straight stretch with no wind; didn't touch the wheel once. My measure? How about 180,000+ miles on this pair of steers, and I still have a couple of 32nds to go?

O.k. I miss interpreted your post. I thought you were saying if the truck handles well for 4 miles, it would not have any front end irregular wear for the duration the tires would be on the truck. I usually have to wear a set of steers out to see how they will do along with the alignment. some start dipping or have front end shake at 30,000 some at 70,000 some not at all.

It's my understanding BM's use mercury and have less than 10 oz of weight; Centramatics use 22 oz (?) of steel shot in oil, i.e. more to work with. That was what I was told several years ago when I first purchased.
