Truck crossed into oncoming lane and hit a school bus and the car behind the bus 10:45pm last night. The driver of the truck and of the car were killed. The bus was carrying the boys' track team home from a meet and the woman in the car was an assistant coach. The girls' track team was several miles back and not involved.

The bus driver who was critically injured swerved preventing a head on but the picture of the truck and trailer looks like the bus was launched high enough to go through the truck's cab.

I'm having a problem getting my phone to copy and paste a link so if someone could do it for me I'd appreciate it. Search: "Mt. Pleasant, TX truck crash".

Check out this news page. Listen to the 911 call in the video clip (indicates possible dozing or distracted or dui situation). Also there is picture of the truck. Rooner Trucking out of MO I think it said.

I've driven that road countless times. It's no better or worse then any other 2-lane US highway in america. In fact it's pretty straight and level for the most part.

RIP Ms Beard and the truck driver Mr Bogard and their families.

Prayers for all those who were injured.

The video clip will not bode well for the company he drive for.

Well... I say cash out the company and pay the families who lost their loved ones and help provide succor to the wounded and mentally scarred.

I hope that time heals all wounds for all involved.

Given that it's a straight and level road I wouldn't be surprised if there was a possibility that the truck driver was DWT(Driving While Tired).
