What is going on with these prices?
I am seeing road worthy trucks under 20K,
Reefers from 2016 under 30K
How is this even possible?

Rates are crashing and fuel to the moon!chimbotano, Rideandrepair, Brandonpdx and 9 others Thank this. -
Natural fluctuations in the market. They got so expensive that sales slowed down. Prices will be low for a while and then climb back up. Rinse and repeat!

Survival of the fittest, natural selection, free market
Rideandrepair and Catmando Thank this. -
The demand isn’t there anymore to artificially inflate used equipment prices. New prices will eventually drop but not until the dealers are sitting on a bunch of inventory.

Imagine being on of those people who paid 65K for a 10 year old reefer 6 months ago, or 100K for an 8 year old truck with 730,000 miles....
or... a quarter mil for a new truck.
I am hoping replacement engine prices come down soon.Rideandrepair, Vampire, boneebone and 3 others Thank this. -
Rideandrepair Thanks this.

I just drive faster and haul twice as much freight to make more $ at 1.50/mile!

Its been that way for awhile.. The comical part is every dude with a long hood pile of #### thats 30+years old is still asking 90k+ ... The disconnect is real.
