Truck booted in Memphis as CO was fueling the recovered truck.

It might be a worthwhile project to design/apply a few anti-tampering modifications to a truck to make it more difficult to boot/tow (or at least create a few problems for anyone who is trying to do the job quickly and without making a lot of noise or setting off alarms).

 

I think it waz A1 causing the problems east of Memphis on I-40 awhile back. Their signs were all over the truck stop, even after they supposedly got run out.

It appears to be organized crime.

I spent a month Memphis in 2005. I enjoyed going to Beale Street for supper often, but it didn't feel safe. Too many shady characters on the way from the hotel to the dinner clubs.

East Memphis near the El Paradaiso theater still rocks if you can keep your head on a swivel.

 

I mean your not wrong but it does also highlight my own point. If the legal system worked as it should, then this would have been elevated and fixed years ago. If the local level politicians wont do anything then it goes up level by level as the case progresses.

The fact its gotten to a point actual politicians need to step in at all and high level ones at that. Well it shows how bad it is. The fact they and/or lawyers havent done anything only proves the system as a whole has failed.

Also my ELD suffers a mysterious temporary malfunction any time im near mempuss. For some reason it just wont track my hours for that whole day and i gotta use paper. Its a shame too since my hours never seem to run out in that wonderful city and traffic happily moves aside so i dont run sort. Its sad because i can experince all it has to offer and always gotta park at least two hours away.

 

It's not even safe to walk from a nice downtown hotel to Beale Street.
