Depends if you are a company driver, some co's have "breakdown pay" which will usually start after 2-4 hrs, or they may NOT have it and you are sitting without pay. FYI, there's many things in this biz that you do and are not paid. Waiting at the dock while getting loaded/unloaded. Fueling, doing your pre-trip, with mi pay, you only making money if the truck is rolling.

Don’t work for a company with lousy equipment. Don’t work for a company that doesn’t have detention pay, layover pay, or breakdown pay.

"some of them are toxic environment's"

Toxic is bad, don't do toxic. Intoxicated driving is dangerous and is punishable by law.

Carry some tools with you, fix it and roll. Back in the day we would inframe a Cummins over a weekend, in a truckstop parking lot, with a cresent wrench, a screwdriver and a pocketknife.

It depends on your company & your pay structure.

This stuff from @jesus1337 :violent1::laughing5::banghead: is just getting old. Like a 12 year old posting. No common sense. He’ll NEVER make it. Hey @jesus1337 GIVE IT UP, you’re NOT Trucker material.

Edit: just noticed the above post from @Diesel Dave. It's amazing how often x1 still gets mentioned to this day. If only he knew!
