Anyone have any experience buying a truck from Ritchie Bros? Good or bad.
I know everything is sold as is.I plan to take a mechanic with me to look the truck over.

I contacted them once about used equipment.
The rep told me flatly, pick of the litter goes to dealerships. Then they sell the rest in house. He said the junk goes to auction.bzinger Thanks this. -

I also bought my first one from Penske. Penske are maintenence FREAKS and keep very good records.
Sometimes they have some very good deals.
Also try Lone Mountain Truck leasing. -
Also with that lease how much did you have to put down? -
I have to say I drove trucks for both Ryder and Penske.

I thought Penske did a much better job at maintenance and keeping up with the trucks in general.Dave_in_AZ Thanks this. -
Depends if it's your first truck, sounds like it is, usually 20%. -
Leases are usually 100% deductible.
First big rig.But I have been hotshotting for 4 years now and purchased two pickups.Really wanting to step up.Much more loads for a full flatbed vs hotshot.
