Truck Crashes Into Fort Worth Grocery Store

(CBS 11 News) FORT WORTH A huge truck crashed through a grocery store and sent debris flying early Wednesday morning.

It happened at about 2:44 a.m. at Elrod's Cost Plus, located in the 3200 block of North Main Street in Fort Worth.

The bed of a rock hauler slammed through a portion of the roof, lifting off four feet of the ceiling. Pipes were destroyed in the process, flooding the area with water both inside and outside of the store.

Police in Fort Worth are unsure of exactly what happened and are investigating the scene. A truck company is located across the street from the grocery store. The rock hauler truck may have been stolen, and the driver could have ran into the store either accidentally or on purpose. The truck may have also not been parked properly, and simply ran down the hill before coming to a halt at the store.

A manager at the grocery store said he plans to reopen for business when the water is cleared out.

I realize the reporter doesn't know anything about trucks, but did she say maybe it wasn't put in park properly?

No they said that the truck may have not been parked properly!!!
I didn't see "put in park" anywere.
