    Boy that is deep- 344 ft. The Andria Doria sank in 160 ft of water and they say 75 divers have died trying to get to that ship.

    That's more people then what was killed in the sinking itself.
    It's well known that the Andria Doria went down like a fat man sitting down in a hot tub of water.

    Yea it is. I just read the article about it the other day. They said miraculously a little girl was transferred into the hull of the stockholm and wasnt found til the ship made it back to port. Her sister perished.

    They say the Stockholm was repaired and is still doing cruises under the name of the Astoria.

    Yup. Part of the reason the Stockholm survived was that it's bow was reinforced to break thru ice. Unfortunately that same bow sealed the Doria's fate when it punched that ship's hull below the waterline.
