The major collision that closed all southbound lanes of Interstate 5 near Richards Boulevard Saturday morning was caused by a wrong way driver who was fleeing Sacramento County Sheriff’s Department deputies, said California Highway Patrol spokesman Michael Bradley.
The collision killed two men riding in a Toyota Sienna that was being chased by officers. A truck driver involved in the collision was taken to the hospital with major injuries, Bradley said.

Idiots! So the S. O. had already broken off the pursuit. And the dirtbags jumped onto the freeway in the oncoming traffic anyway.
Two less morons to reproduce.
Hope the driver of the box truck pulls through.lovesthedrive, thejackal, drvrtech77 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Socal Xpress Thanks this.

Grin, that box truck is small enough to have been driven by a class C driver (4 wheeler). I dont know as if they should have been given "trucker" status. Yes it will be tough for that driver. Those Isuzu box trucks offer zero driver safety. A Smart car has better crash survivability than a isuzu box truck.
