The time that i had the teammate who wanted me to sleep on the top bunk while he was driving was before I became a trainer. When a student is with a trainer, the student should take the BOTTOM bunk when the trainer is driving period.

Nobody should ever be on the top bunk while the truck is being driven down the road.

    This is a safety issue.

I would always see Terminal Tim at Covenant's main terminal at Chattanooga. It would have to be a fantastical coincidence for Terminal Tim to only be at the Chattanooga terminal while I was there. I was only at the home terminal about ten days out of 365. The tremendously more likely explanation for why I always saw Tim at the Chattanooga terminal is that Tim was VERY FREQUENTLY at the Chattanooga terminal. I bet he was at the Chattanooga terminal at least 100 days per year.

I have hazmat endorsement, doubles and triples endorsement, and tanker endorsement.

Yeah I store such information in my mind automatically. I don't write it down, but I do notice when I see people that I know at the terminal.

The things presented here are totally different than my list. My list of who I won’t team with only has one thing on it. There’s not enough money in the world to get me to live in a small box going down the road with someone else.

As far as hazmat, I’ve never had it. I’ve never taken the test. There’s never been a job I’ve wanted where it was required. Even now, the things I could do with my truck if I had the endorsement really don’t interest me. I don’t want to short haul gas and I don’t want to be hauling anhydrous, especially during planting when you’re running 20+ hours a day for a couple months.

Covenant drivers make about 5 extra cents per mile on all miles (not just hazmat miles) if they have hazmat endorsement. So the drivers that don't get hazmat at Covenant are a special breed lol

My company offers 2 to 5 cpm extra for placard hazmat loads. We have almost zero back office support for hazmat. They can keep them, I ain’t teaming either.

Feedman and Kyle G. Thank this.

At Covenant, drivers with hazmat endorsement even make extra money on loads that have no hazmat at all.

I also wouldn’t work at Covenant, so that extra nickel is meaningless in my life.

The real question is what do they call that? Non hazmat hazmat? Dedicated non hazmat single shipper?
