See if you can find a tech or vocational college near you. For example, my local tech college doesn't offer a truck driver program, but a tech college in a city about 45 minutes away does. If you have to drive that distance every day, that's not too bad of a commute (I've done worse).
Maybe you can get some financial aid. You usually need to fill out a Free Application for Student Aid (or FAFSA) after you get accepted.
From what I gather, after you go through that program, you then hire on to a company and go through their orientation program/training period, and you are on the road.
