    well i got offered the job with pepsi out of sagamore beach see how it goes does anyone know what it is like working the relief board

    zaptear, I worked for a private family owned Pepsi Bottler for 15 yrs. Did the whole sideloader thing and worked my way up to a pretty high management spot in the company. PBV bought them out, I left two years later. They ruined the pay structure, teamwork, and family type closeness of the company. Drivers were making what you make now back in 1992 and didn't work near as many hours. They were on a base and commission pay structure and did about 500 cases on a heavy day. PBV is owned 65% by Suntory (private Japanese Investors) and 35% by Pepsi. Co.

    thats not the 1st time i have herd that. althow i worked for pepsi 9 years ago. for about 2.5 years. and then left becuse of pay. and come back about 1 year ago now. after the buy out. the pay seems to be much better as of right now.

    Strange how i see Pepsi in 16 oz glass bottle in So. Cal,,,, well ok they r imported from Mexico, because the lable is in Spanish. Tghe great thing, Mexcio Pepsi and Coke are still using sugar, as it primary sweetner

    yeah it sounds like covering open routes because of vacation or sick but they do guarantee 40 hours so thats good

    yes you see some glass. but it dont really come out of a side loader thats more on big bulk trucks and thay are a lot less work to work out of

    Done coverage like this before in other industries...... only real pain is you have to be flexible. They call , u come and don't say no anytime soon and always answer the phone. It's dues and it will pay off....
