Red Hat, Well spoken, atleast you have your eyes open not like the OP he might have lasted about 2 days with his trainer if he could even make it through school first. Good luck with this. Sounds like you have a clue what you are up against. Try to pay for school yourself if you can. The company sponsered way is not the best way to go, just limits already limited options at that point. Do your research,ask questions this is a good place to find out different options and advice, alot of good guys and gals on here are willing to help you out if you have a brain ( which it seems like you do). If you ask the right questions. I do not put myself in that category as I am still pretty new myself and try to only comment on stuff I can possibly know something about. I was in your shoes not that long ago, less than a year ago. It is a long process after you get that CDL and a good attitude goes a long way. Do your time with your trainer, learn what you can from him and keep on going. You will want to quit many times and get embarassed many times in the begining , I still do. When on your own and you get in a pinch, look for the decent guys and gals out there, and there are plenty,sow them some respect, tell them your problem, ask for some help, and you will be surprised at how many folks will help you, just like on here.
