truck driving schools

    @ RickG before driving a rig/tractor and trailer you need a CDL.... Yes its nice to have a job line up ,however thats not the case all the time. I also agree that new and older driver do get terminated for petty violation thus ending a career. Not to be rude, my point was get your CDL thats the frist step of many. What a trucking company does or don't affter you have you a CDL is another STORY, just saying.

    There are many companies that hire students straight out of truck driving school BUT it's like many other professions, after your education you have to do an internship. If you look at your first year of driving as an internship you will be more apt to be successful in the long run. Finish your year with a starter company and then the trucking opportunities will flow.

    ALSO, stay away from schools that short change your training time, (2 weeks is not enough). And if a school trains on automatics, don't waste your money, you need to know how to shift to to get most truck driving jobs.
