Truck GPS, does it work? and where to buy

How did you hack the 205w to a 465t? I would like to give my wifes 205w to a new truck driver in my family, but I would like to convert the mapping and notice data. I had a 465t that I sold, it was pretty good, but it too had its quirks...as I was always redoing the route after reviewing the atlas. I think the best was the Copilot Truck 9 it ran smooth on my computer and you could grab the mouse and get a wider shot of the map. I slip seat now, and do not have access to a laptop stand anymore.

 

It's a process I had to go through to hacking it. It's not easy and can possibly brick your system making it non functional if you make one little mistake .

Also I updated my maps to a newer version. By changing the data inside of the garmin folder while it is in sync.Or you could store the maps on your sd card and use the maps in that condition. By storing the map's on the sd card you can download maybe 2 or 3 (for example) say you have the untied states already stored in garmin?

You can add different countries from around the world inside your sd card. The problem is by doing so your going to have to learn how to unlock the map's.That is another process that can take a couple of days on learning lol. It's not as easy as it sound's basically.

 

I have the Rand McNally TND 700, which can be bought at almost any Truck Stop. Its awesome, I couldnt imagin doing my job without it!
