In some states, send a certified letter to the owner (company) tell them is on private property & needs to be moved within 30 days of receipt. If not PFJ can file court papers as abandoned and acquire possession of it. It's not just that simple, but that's the jist of it.
Note I said some states, as all states vary. Some, it's not so easy.
In California a squatter can move into it and claim ownership &......... well, nevermind about that.
Surest way to find out is to contact an attorney in that state. Most offer 1st visit free advice.

It can’t be sold to anyone, pilot flying j corporate (not the location) can go through the court to take control of an abandon property but because the courts are involved with a bankruptcy on both sides of a border and the listing of assets have trucks in them, the court appointed manager is in control of the asset and trumps the state and any attempt to control the property. The state can not issue a conversion of the property to pilot flying j.

In PA I have simply called the closest state police department. 20 min later they were there with a guy licensed for salvage in the state. It was gone in less than an hour.tarmadilo Thanks this. -

Thanks for all the replies! I will go ahead and let her know her options on how to get it gone. The trailers empty so no one's missing anything and it's been side swiped once or twice but I think they'll get it out. Again thanks y'all I appreciate the knowledge
