I find it worse what’s happening now. The supplies now are available to nobody, vs people still being able to pay and get them all over the country.

People get all butt hurt thinking that thess two guys are terrible and are making people not get any supplies, then the social justice warriors step in and now NOBODY gets ANYTHING. Makes a lot of sense.

    Comparing cosmos to a louse?
It does not mean he has to be like them.

If your neighbor comes up to to you asking for a jug of water would you charge him $50?
I'd either give him that free or send him away with nothing.

    That's good deal.
The inmates will do something good to redeem themselves too.

I read that one institution alone requested 500 billion last week. Since they can do it in secret, who knows who would need that kind of mula.

Next time I’m in Chicago, I’m going to show up on Joes door step expecting free food and shelter since those pesky hotel owners drive up the prices so high. I better not get turned away or charged money.

If Joe or you showed up at our place, I'd feed you both and let you stay, as long as he helped me drive fence posts & boil down maple sap...

I am not going to be convinced that price gouging and profiting on everyday use item is acceptable.
I'd feel bad selling desyfectant soap or rolls of tp for ... $ 10 each. The same goes for pharmaceutical companies. I take no medications, so I don't know what's involved there at the moment.

I guess further discussion about this will be fruitless because either you think it is ok to profit in times of crisis or you think it is not right.
It would be a different story, if someone made their own product and determined their own, however high, price tag.

I didn't make the louse comparison, you did. Speculation is the driving force behind capitalism. While I don't agree with profiteering during a national crisis, I also understand the speculative nature of people who are smart enough to see a an opportunity when the see one. I became an O/O because I saw a need in my area in a very specific segment of the industry and I exploited it to get my foot in the door. Drug manufacturers frequently use R&D costs as an excuse for the high costs of specialized medicines, but fail to decrease the costs of those same meds years later long after they have made billions in profits from them. On top of that, we now find out that over 90% of the meds they manufacture are made in China for pennies, and we pay thousands for them here in the US. Now China has threatened to withhold medications as leverage in trade negotiations. So who really needs to be sent to North Korea and executed for taking advantage of people? Drug makers who have been raping us for decades and the politicians who enable them, or people making a few extra bucks out of their garage making a profit on items they're reselling?
