Best week I've had in many months, almost cracked $5k. Of course I was gone from early AM Monday to late last night (Friday). 5 days and I'm ready to be out of the truck. I don't know how you road warriors do it.

For me, the OTR lifestyle, in the truck for days and weeks on end is unbearable. It's a miserable form of existence (for me) with a family and home base structure in place.

"Ahead of July 4, we’ve seen an increase in the dry van Load-To-Truck Ratio (LTR) by 24% to 3.56 last week, driven by a 20% week-over-week increase in spot market load posts, which also puts dry van load volumes up by about the same amount year over year. Capacity tightened as a result, with truck searches down 3% w/w and 8% y/y."

I ran down to N. California (I-5) and back on Thursday/Friday. Traffic was very brisk. Lots of people out and about. People pulling 5th wheels, campers, boats, Skidoos, etc.
Dale thompson Thanks this. -
Considering the rates going west out of here id say that's not too bad.Dave_in_AZ and TallJoe Thank this.

My banker told me this week that RV’s and boats are off the charts as far as sales (loans) being made right now. Said he’s never seen anything like it.86scotty, PPLC, whoopNride and 4 others Thank this.

Some yes and some no, lanes and freight availability permitting. These what brokers were offering initially
Truck 1.
MI-WI $600
WI-SC $1800
SC-NC $400
NC-Va $1250 was offered right away and they did not want to haggle. It's a decent small brokerage and offered fair money right away. I also was running short on time, because of the SC-NC I did in the morning, so I took this one quickly to finish the day
WV-MI $800
Truck 2
PA-MI $900 this was booked through an app, included 120 miles deadhead
MI-IL $950, only was able to get $25 extra out of them
IL-GA $1100
GA-NC $800
NC-MI $1100
Truck 3
MI-TN $1000
TN-OH-NY $3000
NY-OH $900
OH-MI $400TallJoe, Dale thompson and Midwest Trucker Thank this.
