I've got more than I can handle these days. I simply cannot believe the rates and number of loads I'm seeing. Pretty nice to haul what you want where you want for what you need. I kinda dig it. About the time I log on again it will probably be over.

Just got home from 2 loads that I booked last week that paid really well. Looking at the rates for the upcoming week, I see they're a little lower but that's expected after the 4th holiday. Still not bad though, lots of $3 per mile loads still leaving California, just not many coming back.

All the Chicago Volvo mafia is headed West. Us little folk are cleaning up the scraps around the MW to NE.

Reefer and dry van, but mostly reefer. I think it's a few holdovers from last week and expect the rates to drop quickly back down closer to $2 per mile. You have to hunt for the $3 loads, but they're still out there as of earlier today when I last looked. I just booked one for Friday through a broker that I've been working with.

And there are some over $4 per mile like this one, but you need to be in Anaheim within about 3 hours from now.

I've been watching rates tick back up, and trying to stay ahead of it. I've lost a few loads this week on that basis, because other people haven't been watching what spot's been doing. But volumes are up, and my relational based customers are getting waaaay busier.

Getting hooked up direct too. Won't say the price but it's north of 5.00/mi more than plenty to bounce back 168mi empty. Thank you GTZ for being greedy. Thank you so much LOL.
