I was happy with 700 until the new guy asked if we could go down. Was reading the comments shippers had about GTZ. They charge one of the highest rates and give out some of the lowest rates to carriers wtf.

Can't speak to them. I am actually pretty unfamiliar with the company. That's ridiculous, though- glad you were able to turn it to your advantage.

Just looking at a "from" and "to" load for tomorrow.

TQL has the same load posted in 7 different city combinations.

    These guys are shameless...

Well, don't you know that you have to obfuscate the load so that enterprising brokers don't know what town it's coming from, so they can't steal your business? Or, that you have to expand your radius as far and as wide as possible to get carriers to look at it?

Had to two brokers within last few weeks pull that on me. After getting rate confirmations, the delivery city was like 40 miles away vs the one agreed to. When confronted about it, they were like "what's a big deal ?". Hmm, it is a big deal, it's 80 miles to end up in the city I need, so I need extra money, or you can take the load back.
One broker paid and another one took the load back

I don't disagree. I've just heard that reasoning before...

Bout the only times I don't post the exact to/from is if it's going to either a suburb in a major metro, or if the load board I'm posting on doesn't like the location. There's a handful of small towns that DAT will not, for love or money, display. Same with ITS, (but it's never the same towns, so one board will have the correct destination, and the other won't) So I put the next nearest town over and immediately tell the carrier when they call in, "Hey, here's where it's actually picking up/delivering. This is why I did it like that."

Do I run the risk of some other bored broker hopping on and trying to prospect my customers? Sure. But I'm trying not to do you guys a disservice, either.
