Yea I was talking to my buddy that is upper management for a small manufacturing company up in Michigan . His brother also owns a small machine shop nearby.

Impossible to get employees to come back to work with the Excuse they don’t want to Catch Covid

Real reason is there is no reason to come back.

Lower level summer help jobs at the plant that paid $15 now take $21 to get them in.

It’s a competition for help up there right now .

These "stay at home" pandemic months will be remembered as one of the best times in their lifes for many families.
Stay at home, do whatever you wanna do and get good money. In many cases way more than working.

Not gonna lie, I loved staying at home for two months. Even though I took a financial hit, it was absolutely great spending so much time with my wife and little kids.

 

Glad for ya, man. My wife has been work from home, I've been in at the office every day. Our kid still goes to daycare, but that's because it's rather difficult for her to manage clients in crisis while there's a screaming infant in the background.

 

Something strange is happening on the board today. The load count is kinda low, but loads are just not moving. I wonder if this is because of the inspection week
