Definite possibility. I'm currently out the gates hot, though. Covered two loads in two wildly different areas (Northwest Minnesota, and the Carolinas) in under two minutes posted at the same time.

Ah man. My favorite agents are the femme doms with SHRIEKING toddler in the phone.

Think you may need to work on your professionalism a bit.

Yeesh. I know of that which you speak. I hear too many dispatchers with the kids in the background. It grates. They're usually the ones that also ask for the outside of the ballpark rates, and then get pissy when I tell them "no". Even now that I have a child, that is *seriously* grating.

I booked a load with a lady broker a few weeks ago. She was working from home and I pointed out she needed to replace the batteries in her smoke alarm, I could hear them chirping.

A couple of weeks later she called me, the first thing I noticed was the chirping smoke alarm in the background! So I ribbed her a little about it, we got a good laugh out of it LOL

When you quote a rate on an OS/OD load do you quote it inclusive or plus permits/ escorts?

    No! Not the pool noodle!

That's pretty entertaining, although now I'm going to start listening for that from the folks who are obviously working from home...

Generally all-inclusive. We've got software that helps us plan for permit costs, though at this point, I *generally* have a pretty solid idea of what permits and escorts will run. Most of my OS/OW customers prefer to have an all-inclusive number. For the truly big stuff, or the weird, I get with a few carriers, and get numbers first.

That explains what I've been seeing too. Completely forgot about sweeps week. On my way home from a load now and noticed a bunch of high paying loads out of CA that weren't getting covered. One was CA to VA at just a little under $3 per mile. Had I been closer to home I would have jumped on it. Looks like it's already gone, but I'll be watching carefully the rest of the week. Need to get a quick reset in.

I forgot it was inspection week. My truck is down with a bad air leak, glad I didn’t try to go out. Plus, got popped for a random today. Going tomorrow. Plus, due for a physical. Gonna try to get both done at once.

Looks like one of those weeks where I work but make no money.
