I would not dismiss the wisdom of these pra historical animals. They were present in this World long before we were. They must know what they've been doing. Perhaps, they'll have the last laugh too. LOL

This is not a joke. This morning, I saw TQL posted a load in 14 different configurations! LOL

That has to be a record :)

D.Tibbitt and Dale thompson Thank this.

So if you call on one do they tell you the actual towns or would you not find out until you’re already committed to it?

    D.Tibbitt Thanks this.

Knowing TQL? Probably not until you have an actual rate confirmation.

I've seen TQL list the same load in multiple locations, and they paid more money if you were calling from farther out from the pickup. I don't recall the specific amounts since it was years ago, but it was out of San Diego, so they were paying like $50 more if you called on the load from Los Angeles, $100 from Victorville, or $200 from Barstow. The guy was up front about it, so I knew before the rate con. However, they did describe it as a 53' van, and when I showed up, it ended up being a 48' with roll doors.

I'm not sure how the different scenarios would be applied by the broker. I've had very little dealings with TQL over the years.

But when I have called them about a load, I've pointed out up front that it's obvious the same load posted in different combinations, they always come back with a something like, "well, some ppl don't know that the little town for pick-up/delivery is just around the corner from a town they'd recognize...therefore, we post the load in more recognizable areas...it improves our chances of moving the load."

I'm glad I don't deal with TQL any longer. It sounds like almost everybody has had major problems with them.
