Better keep lumber haulers away from tall buildings.

Scooter Jones and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Southeast has already dried up, the loads are scarce and brokers are pushing rates back to $1.50 per mile.
I am not surprised, it happens every year at this time, but thought good times will last there a little longer due to the whole Covid situation

Scooter Jones and D.Tibbitt Thank this.

Had a call come through a couple hours ago, didn't recognize the number so I declined it. Rang again, declined it. Rang again, answered it. TQL begging me to pick up a load near my home in 2 hours and take it to LA. I asked how much, and it worked out to $1.25 per mile. "I said ARE YOU ##### RETARDED?" Then I hung up and blocked the number. I canceled my broker agreement with TQL almost a year ago and they still call me.

I'll be driving a desk for the next 6-8 weeks. Broken metatarsal (what they call a Jones Fracture). Went ### over heels on the quad. Some road rash and that's pretty much it. Wasn't any better after 5 days so figured it might be time to see someone with a piece of paper hanging on the wall

    D.Tibbitt, Dave_in_AZ, DUNE-T and 3 others Thank this.
