Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

Good for you, man. This week has been a constant stream of little fires that I feel like I'm peeing on, rather than hitting with a firehose. But hey, that's truckin'.

 

And they say being a broker is easy ! HA !

 

Started my day in NorCal at 4:45 AM, picked up a load and just parked at the PFJ east of SLC in Tooele with 7 minutes left on my clock. 718 miles total and 200 of it was in California. Deliver tomorrow at 8:00 AM, pick up a load in SLC headed to Reno at noon for delivery tomorrow afternoon, then another load Monday from the bay area heading to Kent WA. Going to be a great week. Busy, but well paying. If everything goes according to schedule, I should gross just over $8k for 5 days work.

 

I just missed you at that Hook. I stayed there last night. Nice work on the solid week!

 

I bid 3k on a coyote load earlier this week and they came back with 2k so I declined. Apparently whoever booked it flaked out and they called me yesterday. I hate that I already booked a load. I would have loved to dig in their pockets.

 

according to the experts, your mileage is physically impossible for any driver in a 24 hour period.

 

The "experts" don't own ungoverned trucks driving through states with a speed limit of 80 mph.

 

I'm hesitant to share how good this week was because someone will hate me for it.
