You were passing it the same time I was. First thing I noticed was the closed down casino with the entrance blocked off. Then I looked left at the fuel islands and couldn't believe it.

They usually have pretty good prices there, at least on my fuel card they do. The entire place was full pretty early today. I'm in Aurora now and I got the last reserved spot. This place is packed too.

Guess I have mixed feelings. Mostly I’m just thankful I can run on my own money and don’t have to worry about the factoring company being shut down by whatever state they are in.

I’m almost leaning towards a smaller office company is better. My small office we don’t have to worry about the 10 or 50 person limits. I guess though what happens if the customers get shut down and quit paying their freight bills?

    What a conundrum.

I’m probably on thin ice posting this but thought it was so cool. I swear I’m not being political and please nobody else do so either.

Trump thanks truckers before anybody else!

Ok now this is getting serious. Not only did they close down our bars here in SW Florida , but they went over the little line and closed our beaches.
Somber moment. People who jumped the Police barricades to catch one last Sunset were pretty Quiet.

Reminded AA8C3E39-4DBB-49FB-8B13-36A1C385ECFD.jpeg me a lot of People down at sunset the night of 911.
Last sunset pic from Naples for a while.

As a construction developer, he more than any of his predecessors knows just how important our jobs really are.

I know I am being a ### posting that knowing all you guys are out on the road with most of you up north in the dreary cold.

I did 3 years back up in Michigan to get into trucking. Now watching everything I had worked towards burn.

Feel bad for everyone. This is going to get Really tough for a lot people.

I don’t have any money in the market but to see it crash without us even beginning to start the real push of this pandemic is beyond reality that we once knew.

The markets will rebound. In the mean time im enjoying the sunsets out on the water. They can close the beaches, but as long as that boat ramp stays open im good to go. Come on up, but start coughing and you will be swimming back to shore.

I really think that closing all the Florida beaches was a responsible thing to do, it should have been done earlier too. This administration, and local authorities at state and municipal levels, are handling it well so far.
The situation in Italy, Spain, France looks like not a laughing matter any more. Young people can laugh about it and they appeared completely indifferent on TV because Covid-19 will most likely spare their lives, also the likes of me who are have nothing on their health record history, but they will return homes to their parents and grandparents (many of them might have respiratory illnesses, former oncological patients, diabetes etc) and transmit the virus to them.

So, at this point, I do believe that for better good, people should refrain, for a month or two, from any unnecessary gatherings, or at least until the time when the trend will be decreasing substantially.
The example of South Korea is instilling hope that it can be over sooner than we think.
