Ours did the same, all bars shut down, one by the sheriff's here in town when the owner refused to comply. Restaurants limited to 50% capacity and seating at a 6 foot space minimum And now they are talking about banning all alcohol sales. Not only do thei not want you going put to drink, but thei don't want you drinking at home.

I've read the us constitution countless times, and or state constitution dozens of times. I can't find where the authority to do these things is granted to either the feds or the state.

Certainly makes one question how free the of the free actually is.

Same thing for the greater Miami area. But it's a very misleading statement. They want you to stay in your homes. But you can leave to get food and supplies, go to work, e.t.c, e.t.c.
Sooo it's not really an order to stay home.

My rates are up significantly right now. I had said previously that I would just keep booking 1 to 2 loads at a time, provide excellent service at the best negotiated rate I can get.

    I still feel that way...

However, I'm currently aware of my need to exercise a measured temperament of humility, coupled by an attitude of thankfulness to the Lord above.

This is certainly not a time for boasting.

I spent all week at home dealing with repairs, but now I am getting paranoid about booking a load and driving to receiver only to find out that they are closed.
Even calling ahead does not guarantee that warehouse people will show up to work next day

Yes, that is a justified concern. Be careful.

I was hauling water and banking for a couple of weeks. Then, the plant became bogged down with orders and couldn't keep up.

The last time I booked a load there, I called ahead of time to make sure they had product. The lady assured me I'd be okay even though I wouldn't be there for a few hours.

I showed up and they turned me away, no product. Called the broker and said no more and I drove home for a nice St. Patrick's day dinner and time with my grandkids ;-)

I've since reset my load booking pattern.

I just got done checking in with my customers out that way. Most of them are considered essential, and are staying open. Thank heavens for very specific construction stuff...

I went through Sacramento this morning and I can assure you that everyone in California are not home behind locked doors.
