Good contemplative thoughts. However, said broker didn't save my life. He just offered me an extra slice of his already sizeable pie. Which is GOOD business ;-)

Which is my point, you are obviously not a Dreyfus type (for the lack of better word) to want more from the broker, including him being transparent with you. I personally would be sort of shy doing business with Dreyfus, if I were a broker.

To make it clear... I prefer not to be like Dreyfus. I realize it may be a shortcoming in business as such but deep in my heart - or maybe not so deep - I feel contempt for this type and I will not attempt to change it.

Which is why (in my mind) this recent round of "Broker Transparency" is ridiculous. If I were a broker and a guy called me acting like I owe him something and started ranting about how he knows that I'm making, take your pick %, I'd thank him for the call and hang up.

Outstanding! Great job my friend. I am in a really good head space today as well. Very blessed to have my wife and son, and to see a little success feels great.

    Everyone have a great weekend.

    That's good to hear.

Now if you could just learn the secret of becoming an "elite" carrier running dry van lumber freight out of Central Point to L.A. for a $1.20 to a $1.45 a mile, you'll really be successful! LOL

I read somewhere on the forum this LS guy touting his getting $7.00 a mile on 300 mile runs out of L.A. to Arizona though. So a $1.45 a mile freight out of Central Point ain't too good, comparatively speaking.

Keep trying, you'll eventually get there :)

Some important details were left out. Says he has to go get it... how far? If it’s 300 miles, then not so good. Is $2280 to the truck or before LS cut. So worst case it’s roughly $2.44pm to the truck. Not bad, but nothing to brag about.

I'm happy when anyone does well in this or any other business!

And so, as Tiny Tim said, "A Merry Christmas to us all; God bless us, every one!"
