Truck Load Rates Halt 8 Week Slide 2.0

Another thing I might add is how important it is to pay one's taxes as you go. I file my quarterlies like clockwork. Both Federal & State liabilities. I know from personal experience back the 80's, the IRS is not someone to be taken lightly. They wield a big bat and can make your life hell.

 

Okay, so back to the most important stuff.

I spent a couple of nights on the road last week. My wife sent me out with a sack of stuff.

Can you imagine the delight I experienced when I opened one of the baggies and found these carne asada soft tacos?

 

More from my home life. My twin granddaughters celebrated their 4th birthdays the other day.

 

That's the part that I don't understand in life, or on a forum like this. Why would someone ridicule another person's success as an owner operator? Especially when they don't even have a full picture of what someone is doing. You can prod someone without mocking them. A little ribbing is cool in my book, but there's a line as well.

I'm genuinely happy for the guys that demonstrate said traits and are willing share aspects of their success. What was it that Hillary said? "It takes a forum to raise a successful owner operator." LOL

We're all in this together! If someone doesn't like what I post regarding my personal life or business, that's cool. Just move on and ignore me...

Yeah, me too. I had no idea he was that skinny and smoked a pipe to boot.

 

I pulled into a rest area for the night in WA. There was ONE open spot, my favorite section when I stop here.

Guy on the right and left are pulling dry vans, both have their curtains pulled and neither one of them are idling.

So far, so good.
